Having been a corporate professional in banking for almost 20 years as Business Manager and HR Business Partner, I understand your world and have experienced the opportunities I can support you with. It is through my personal journey that I discovered my passion: To support, motivate, inspire, collaborate and coach individuals and groups in their mission to achieve maximum success personally and professionally through health and wellbeing.

What's my story?

For a long time I thought I was healthy, and from the outside it looked like I had it all: a successful, fast-paced career in my 20s, exercising at least 5 times a week, a good social life, very little sleep, always managing, always performing, always delivering, always available.

Just because it looked good, does not mean it felt good. What most people did not know, was that I struggled with anxiety, depression, work-life balance, perfectionism, loneliness, unhealthy habits, thoughts and choices for as long as I could remember. These issues are not appropriate for a successful professional or our society, so they are generally hidden. I was educated, curious and always sought out new ways to deal with my challenges. While I knew what I should do, I did not know how. Too much information, too little time, and definitely no understanding that I needed to make myself a priority. It was easier to keep going and pretend, than to listen to the signals my body was sending me.

I was also unclear about my goals, my version of success. I was constantly distracted and focused on what success was as defined by others. I saw only what I should do, not what I could do; obligation instead of choice.

Becoming an HR Business Partner at a universal bank and coaching others on goal setting, motivation, and mindset, helped me to learn that when I have personal clarity on my vision, I am ready to make the small and big changes required. I also realized in 2016 that I was utterly unhappy with everything in my life. Within 6 months, I sought and found a fresh start with my family, ended my relationship, changed my job and changed my diet. In the process, I discovered who I am, what I want, what I love and most importantly, what I need - or so I thought. Over the next three years I got sicker and sicker and frantically went from doctor to doctor, never feeling like anyone really took time to listen, look at the full picture or give me honest advice. It was easier to treat symptoms with drugs, assign rigid diets, tell me it's a burn-out, or keep me bound to services that required me to come back. It got to the point where my body was shutting down: inflammations, intolerances, allergies, indigestion, amenorrhea, severe muscle and joint paint and ultimately exhaustion. I started thinking and believing that maybe I really am crazy. I wanted answers and help, not anti-depressants, herbs or antibiotics.

In the end, through education and finally giving my body the rest it needed, I found the cause of this 3-year downward health spiral myself and then the right doctor to conduct two surgeries. My path to mental, physical and social health was long and challenging, but I do believe that everything happens for a reason. Challenges are opportunities and pain is a signpost, but for a long time I was not willing to listen. Once I did, the more health I created in my mind, body and soul, the more life gave back to me and the less time and money I spent trying to escape it. I was fortunate enough to discover early enough that health is wealth, which is why I named my company accordingly.
